Sweet 'n sour reminders
of how life used to be
memories of lost and locked-up nothings
There's been times
when this game
doesn't seem worth playing
ask if there's a way we can both win.
But the answer's always no.
and there's things I wish I left unsaid
the only thing we can rely on
is that one of us must lose.
Apologies remind me to forfeit
the next round.
We've been chewed up and chewed out
so none of this seems much different
than the last week or the one before.

| We all can not be perfect, and sometimes it ends up, saying I need to apologise, and the other says NO. Always do that, because you never know when one will be taken from you. Nice write. |

| No one really wins an argument. Apologies are nice, but are often too little too late. An argument is a competion as to who will win. The game is to get the other person to agree with our point of view. Communication is, however, based more on a goal of understanding so nobody wins or looses. You both end up being better understood. |
