Yesterdays Perfume
September 20, 2004
Night sky is a different color air
That floods everywhere
And while you lay beside me here
I think about what we have just done
Under the stars, under the sheets
From once to twice to three times a night
And now I cant remember what
It felt like on that first time.
It was losing the sparkle, the glamour
We shared, turning to typical
Night life when we were together
Lost the romance, the shy glance
And then
Without saying anything to you
Its like you knew
And you brought it back once more
So I could remember
What made me love this even more
You kissed my neck
I could feel the smile
When you lifted your head
And looked into my eyes
And you whispered, you said
I can smell yesterdays perfume
Almost gone, but lingering just on your skin
And you took me out of the white wall room
Back to the night you first held me tight
Back to the romance, the glamour
You gave to me before
And now I dont wonder why I was so caught up
In your loving, like this, anymore
