Not one night I have slept, woken by a whisper
one so gente, a breeze seems heavier
for I have dreamed and dreamed of things anew
but my mind still flickers with thoughts of you.
My nights still troubled, by this whisper that leaves my heart bare
open to attack, the love I once held dear
endless doubt. mind does not wish to share
for these doubts are my own, to much for one to bare.
Days relentless, nights unslept
feeling still linger and that I must accept
beyond my eyes a broken love revealed
with moments of bliss, but wounds that have not healed.
I've wondered how? and why? now flaw's I see before me
with troubled mind and troubled times, my tears I see before me
Transparent are my feelings now, just like waters clear
heart truly open now, but this I knew and feared.
Darkness falls before my eyes, and drapes my wounded heart
memories still linger here, but soon they will depart
the whisper was "I love you"
the one that held my heart.

this was beautiful, stunning, and just heartbreaking with its stirring images of loss you've created. Wow I don't know what else to say except that I loved this. Keep up the writing.
