COLORING AUTUMN

"COLORING AUTUMN"

Wyoming surely did miss.....
Trees colored by Nature's kiss.
Bright green trees covered with snow!
Autumn's trees, now white, no color, nor gusto!

First the crayons, then the troops.
My buddies, the squirrels, and the little birds.
"Hey fellows.....Autumn this year droops!
Trees must be colored, requires balancing wizards!"

"I'll do the bottom half where I can reach.
'Tis different colored crayon I'm giving you each
Now.....Sparrows, Crows, and Chickadees.....
Please color each leaf, top-half of all the trees."

"Swinging squirrels, get all the leaves in between.
Please watch your chatter, nothing obscene!
My dear little ants hiding below.....
Could you please help us, please give it go?"

"The Lilac bushes, and the hollyhocks need color.
Such diligent workers, like no other!
Is everyone ready? On the count of three......
One, two, three, go...for warmth a little nip of brandy!"

There were "Swaying Birds" from the tree tops.
"Tipsy Squirrels" flying, and fought lots!
I toppled off my stool, broke the bird seed feeder!
Newspaper called it "The Slippery Colored Venture!"

Can't find the "Plastered Ants," where did they go?
Hiding under the Lilac bush drinking bromo!
The crayon named "Slightly Sober Summer"
has been renamed.....
It's new label: "Autumn's Colors Blackballed!"

Dreaming in our drunken stupors.....we could see.....
Autumn's crayons colored each and every leaf.
Beauteous bountiful shades waiting for your critique.
Would you like to take a peak?

Grand Teton Peaks of Wyoming framed by Autumn's trees!

the mountains, a torch flung to the trees!"

"Hic-cup!!!"

Consue,
I can just picture you with your little army of squirrels running around Wyoming. This is wonderful and hilarious. I hope you have the most INCREDIBLE spring to make up for your lack of autumn color.

Consue....:)
Here you go again, bringing a smile to my face.
The trees here are just starting to change...there is still time.. I'll save a spot on a bench for you and we can watch together. Such a beautiful time of the year!
