When life gets tough as it sometimes always does
When we've lost our way in this world of sorrow and can't see tomorrow
We know that you're always there to guide us if only we'll follow
But we stumble and fall
Running dangerously close to the edge of out of control
We ignore the signs you send
And take matters into our own hands
Your love and concerns surrounds us all
We know you're there to catch us when we fall
You stretch forth your tender hand of loving care
To cradle us in our prayers
Like wind beneath our wings
Your love lifts us higher and higher
Up from the depths of this hell we once knew
On your wings you'll carry us through
On wings rising, on the wings of love
We soar up in the lofty heights above
Where even eagles dare to fly
We look down on a world full of sin and shame
And wonder will it ever change?
