No More Tears To Cry

Contributed by juliette on Sunday, 10th November 2002 @ 12:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I made my intentions clear from day one,
You and me were just having fun-
I wasnt feeling anything while you were holding my hand,
I knew that I could have you but you were not my man.
Then something snapped and everything changed-
And I was needing you but you were acting strange.
I told you I fell and you crumbled inside,
Because you loved me too, but why did I hide?
Ran the other way when you wanted my heart,
Finally gave it up and just look where we are-
Separate planets- whole universes apart-
Its over- just as quick as it started-
And you keep asking me just where we went wrong?
When I couldnt go anywhere without you tagging along-
And your ring on my finger like I sold you my soul-
And we never got along because I couldnt let go,
Of my pride, deep inside of me, I kept my dignity-
You took so many things and I salvaged the best of me.
The side of me that felt so much love for this man-
Who robbed me of words, silenced me with cold hands-
You bruised so much more than the side of my face,
I only took a step back and put you in your place-
Because you will love me now until the day you die,
And the hard truth is I have no more tears to cry.
