What society?

WHAT SOCIETY?

Society has a lot to learn
Children with special needs
Always the same old story
The answers will proceed
Understanding must come first
To honour and to like
Many children of today

Take an instant dislike
They see a tiny difference
That they then pick up
Thinking that my child so strange
Objects they will chuck
My child looks so normal
But society has ignored
The humiliation and anger
Many tears my child has poured
Label them as you do
Kindness can play a part
Understand my child if not
To me you have no heart
Soldier on my child will do
Close family are at hand
Society has let me down
But her family understand

the help and support can be found within yourself when there is none left from others.
