Give Me A Chance

Contributed by The_Phantom on Sunday, 10th November 2002 @ 10:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I stair off into a peaceful sky,
No one else in the world, just you and I,
A gentel walk, and a heart to heart talk,
The pain of my past, forgotten at last,

I'm finally at peace, my soul released,
I'm one with him, the father of men,
In the presents of the master, all my questions are ansewered,
The streets paved in gold, as the angels accept my soul,

I am warm no longer cold, as my life's story is told,
They speak of a soldier brave and true,
He fought for freedom, and the red, white, and blue,
Once your destiny is complete, you can finally sleep,

They spoke of a war so great, it made the Earth shake,
Many men died, many familes cried,
Tell me more, allow me to see what's behind that door,
There's lies a man in the dark, holding a wound through his heart,

There's a woman all alone, with a letter saying her husband won't be comming home,
Tears falling from her eyes, angry she couldn't say godbye,
Is that me, no Lord this can't be,
Save me Lord, don't let me die, give me a chance to say goodbye.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

Yes It is one of my fears, and my wife knows it could happen, so we make the most of every day we have togather. Thank you for your comments.
