I dare to dream

Contributed by Ryoko on Sunday, 26th September 2004 @ 05:12:57 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Small thin black coat on my back,
Lithe knife edging into the pocket,
Seams tight and smothered,
Wrapped around my throat.

Recharging metalic tune,
resounding around my ears,
deflecting away from my tissue,
bottled up into the plastic jar.

Colourful eyes hold dark shadow,
Irisis mixing with the background,
Purplitic black tints the middle,
blood crawling from the corners.

Stems rise from my shattered heart,
Only to be burned with my fire,
Ashes of earth and beings litter,
My sight as limited as yours.

Rolling eyes shoot to my head,
tiny bangles keeping them shut,
Rushing to my silent pictured sleep,
Is where i dare to dream.
