You are the one my dreams are made of
Full of understanding, warmth and love
These feelings I thought were only for fairytales
But you are the wind that fills my sails
The honesty that we share between us two
Keeps this connection very dear and true
We can talk about the good times, talk about the bad
Talk about the future and the past we had
You accept me of me, for who I am
My opinions and thoughts you never condemn
There's nothing of me you ask or expect
We have for each other the deepest repsect
It's truly amazing how you make my heart smile
And you do it with such grace and style
Keeping my heart smiling all though the day
And for you I thank God when I pray
You can melt all tension and ease all the pain
Making all refreshed as a cleansing rain
And looking in your eyes I can see the suprise
And your excited hello's like all the 4th of July's
When talking for hours, seems only minutes passed
And the conversation can forever last
Your hug, so firm yet so tender,
Forces all my fears to immediately surrender
There's a bond and trust that's so very strong
I feel it is with you that I truly belong
A feeling of security, a safe-haven if you may
And within this dream I wish to forever stay

This is so beautiful, my favorite
lines wereThe honesty that we share between us two
Keeps this connection very dear and
true. I beleive in communication in a
relationship, i think if the communication
isn't there then alot is lost. Thanks for
sharing this one i enjoyed reading it

Dean, I love this poem myself. It is one of the few poems I've ever gotten from a boyfriend. And it is my favorite one of all. I wish times like this could last forever as well. I am sure that one day they will.
