true story of a knight and maiden that are covered by your fairy tales

Contributed by innerbeautyqueen on Wednesday, 29th September 2004 @ 09:05:02 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

how close we have become
to when happiness seemed not far away
the silk that covered our our eyes
darked in the sun.

but now it's burnt away
over exposed and it's too late
we can't take back the past
what's happened seems as destined; fate.

i don't want to beleive this could be real
the truth sends shivers of horrid chills
the black decayed death seems less
this is worse thant worst not better than best.

nothing happened as it should
the princess lost her way
the knight with clouded eyes
never saw another day.

and no one had their happily ever after
and no one had their cake and ate it too
and the meek never got their castles
left with nothing but shadowed hearts.

left with nothing, they drift apart

... But try to read that to a child at bed time ...

This was an entertaining read, and sadly true of most things today ... well done !!!
