THE HELPER

Contributed by joe-joe on Wednesday, 29th September 2004 @ 09:10:58 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

The Helper has come with power from on high,

He will lead and guide us into all truth, no longer in ignorance shall we abide,

Cringing in fear and unbelief, drowning in selfishness and pride!

He will walk with us through the valley of the shadow of death and through the raging fire,

We will conquer every evil and every foe; in His goodness and grace shall we ever flow!

There shall be no end to the greatness of His glory; there shall be no end to the true gospel story,

For with Him is eternal life,
Without theirs only death, destruction and strife!

Feel the wind of His love blowing softly against your brow,

Humble yourself in His presence and mercy, praying always with humility as upon your knees you bow!

Open the doors of your heart, let the King of Righteousness take His seat upon the throne,

He will fill you with His power and grace; He will never leave you forsaken or alone!

The Helper has come; He has made a place for you to abide in Him forever,

Come and receive the joy of His salvation, He has redeemed your soul from the fires of hell!

Dont continue your journey down the wide and broad way, which leads to death and destruction,

Come to Him, He will receive you with love and grace,

Washing you clean of your sin without leaving a spot or trace!

There is no force He cannot conquer and no power to great for Him to subdue,

If you will allow him, He will come to your rescue!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
