I Have You, I Won't Let You Fall

Contributed by greeneyes on Friday, 1st October 2004 @ 09:26:38 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Today we walk hand in hand
Her frail body struggles to stand
A cane is used to help her balance
I have you, I won't let you fall

Start with your right foot now your left
Take small steps, we have all day
See, I knew you can do this

The sun feels warm
A soft breeze in the air
The smell of fresh cut grass everywhere

A slow walk we take
Just lean on me
I will be your eyes
I have you, I won't let you fall

Nancy

good poem, but needs more substance to it to make it a masterpiece.
