Havent Been Myself

Havent been myself these days
Walking around in a daze
Wondering what my life s for
Turn on the television set
Only to see things are worst yet
I get up and walk the floor
Bombs going off over there
Doesnt anyone care?
Or is it everyday news?
Have we all become numb?
Or are we playing dumb?
Are they paying their dues?
Childrens lives being taken
Eyes are being awaken
For this is no game
Evil wages war
No clue what they are fighting for
Yet they fight just the same
We have politicians lying
While Our Soldiers are dying
Support comes at a price
But theyre full of hot air
Pretending to care
Taking chances, rolling the dice
Its easy to change your mind
Youve done it a thousand times
Who knows where you stand
Modeling in your two piece suit
Acting big and acting cute
It wont be me who shakes your hand
Anyone can say they can do better
Until they have to face the weather
Only whats in your heart can lead the way
To me a leader has to stand by his word
Not be affected by what he might have heard
Then Ill believe in what he has to say
