liquor induced happiness

Contributed by holderofthestone on Saturday, 2nd October 2004 @ 02:30:03 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The fluid sweet embrace
Warming grip of love
Push away the sorrow
And all I am scared of

Hide me from the truth
Mix in with my tears
Comfort me my evil friend
As you have for many years

Keep from the edge
Push me to the brink
The world is at its best
When Ive had too much to drink

The twisting room is soothing
I dont care if I cant stand
Its easier to give up
With the floor so close at hand

My liquor induced happiness
You say I have a problem
Of course I do, or I wouldnt drink
Its my easy way to solve them

To you my dear bottled friend
I thank you for your service
For when you are near
Everythings not so worthless

this is gripped with sadness only because my father is an alcoholic and yeah a long story but I cant imagine how being drunk makes someone happy....I hope my father feels ashamed when he gets drunk and passes out knowing its the reason we never see him...

much love,
Dani

Hiding from the problems of this sick world by indulging in another sick problem of this world is not honorable. Stand up, without fear, and face this meaningless existence, do not succumb to delusion and weakness, never take the easy way out, or you become just like all the people I hate.
