My Dream

Topic: HumorPoetry

Maybe he isn't the only guy around,
And everything he loses can't always be found,
Maybe he's a rebel fallen from grace
And you would never want him to be on your case.
Maybe he's a little too sweet and sincere
For you not to miss him when he's not here,
Maybe he knows just what you're thinking
And maybe he knows all the liberties he's taking.
Maybe all he needs is to know that he's loved,
Or maybe he's an angel God sent from above.
But you have to admit that your heart pounds
And you can barely stand when he is around.
Your butterflies always flutter intensely,
And you know that you love him immensely,
Somehow you can't shake that wonderful feeling
That upon your heart has produced a great healing.
His kisses burn fires in places you didn't know exsisted,
Until your blood, boiling, decided to visit,
And you didn't know that passion exsisted for you
Until he broke down those barriers too.
Maybe you died and went to heaven,
Or... DARN! That dream AGAIN... and it's only eleven!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
