A Slow Love Song

Contributed by Contralogicus on Saturday, 2nd October 2004 @ 04:14:38 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The rain is coming down awful hard,

Were so drenched, yet ever heavy soaking step
Brings us closer to the future.

Most times we walk in step,
There are also times
That I stumble
And you fall.

But not quite,
No, not quite.

You see the way our fingers intertwine
Palm to palm with the strength of a metal chain.

When I trip
Hold my hand that much tighter.

When Im lost
Pull me back onto the way.

Then just as youre about to fall
My arms are ready,
Theyre ready to receive you.

Ill catch you,
Prop you up
And well continue on.

Well walk on,
By the light of the moon
Reflected in your eyes.

Well walk on,
Until we fall asleep.

Well walk on,
Farther in our dreams.

My love I cant wait
Until we catch up to our dreams.

My love I cant wait
Until we catch up to our dreams.

Good effort, and a good poem in general, good luck.

My love I can’t wait
Until we catch up to our dreams.

Wouldn't that make a great card?
This write is so full of love it overflows. I really like this.
