What Happened

Topic: LostLove

rush to me my darling please dont betray me
i believed in you i trusted in you what happened
i waited to no avail your promises to no avail
you said you loved me but actions belie words
what happened to my knight

oh my love my heart is wounded and pained
so many words so many lies so many promises
how can i accept one more i fear betrayal again
yet you ask me to give you another chance how
what happened to my knight

i know you say your heart is breaking you need me
what about me nobody helped me get where i am
you were never there you couldnt be where you were
you cant make up for sixteen years or a broken heart
what happened to my knight

i cant tell you when you goof how can you learn
i cant raise another child im done raising kids
how can you expect me to be your watchdog
you have to be your own conscience not me
what happened to my knight

very emotional. Make you wonder where our "knight" goes in the end.

A great poem, I loved it and well written too, I felt it's words and it made me read it more than once, Good job and keep on writing, by the way I'll post a poem very soon (may be tomorrow), this poem is very close to yours, it's name is "Who Can Mend A Broken Heart", so if possible look for it and tell me what do you think!!
