Roses
Roses appear red like a kindled fire
When a soul is true and a hearts inspired
And lovers make love more sapphire
To take the level higher and higher
When they share a love that will not tire
Because in their hearts they aspire
To live not just for what they desire
But for all that makes their life attire
A blood Red Rose
I was at your house once late at night
I went with a white rose
I knew it was the one you would like
It was perfect and in full bloom
It reminded me of your
But then I saw him there
I saw him kissing you
And you where kissing him
I gripped the rose so tight
Its thorns tore my flesh
And the blood ran down its stem
And turned the rose blood red
Fire Burns
And so does love
But its hurt just makes you yearn
For all the characteristics of
What gives life and makes the world turn
All of its pains and pleasures and all things thereof
All the good times and the bad
Are better than times never had
To love for all those who never have
To love and be loved when you are happy or sad
The scars from burns will always heal
But the chasms made by a broken heart
You will always feel
But never turn your back or let you soul go tart
You never know what love lovers conceal
Never let your self be completely torn apart
When the love you feel for your self is the only one that’s real

| Great thought provoking write! For me, I went through several failed relationships, took a few years and some wise folks helping me to figure it all out. You have to love yourself, forgive yourself, and respect yourself before you can truely love someone else. Keep writing I enjoy your thoughts. |
