I walk past the picture everyday
But I can't look that way
I see you with all of the family
That beautiful smile will always get me
I know it's been about a month since your Judgement Day
But without you here, my life's been nothing but grey
There's this hole in my heart that's as deep as the sea
I just can't seem to let you free
I remember watching the games with you
What went on? I haven't a clue
All that really mattered was that I had you at my side
My love for you, I cannot hide
When you passed away I felt unreal
My heart was in pain, and it wouldn't heal
I was breathing, but I wasn't alive
I thought that you had left my side
How foolish I was to believe such a thought
But between life and loss, I was caught
But I can still feel you lingering about me
When I close my eyes, it's you I see
Aunt Mary Anne said you told her it was beautiful
Everything you wanted and more, that's wonderful
I felt so selfish for crying while you were finally in Paradise
The tears rushing down my cheeks, I had to get up twice
I could almost feel your arm around my shoulder, telling me it'll be okay
I looked around, half expecting to see you in the bright of the day
I just wanted to say I love you
Grandpa, you made me proud, and that's true
You did a lot in your time here
Now you've got eternity to do whatever you want, without any fear
I love you, and I hope you're doing all right
Right now I've got to go, but I'll see you in my dreams tonight

| That is sooo sad! I'm sorry if you really did lose you gpa. It was an excellent write and I hope you will feel better soon. Your grandpa will always be there with you forever so you were right. |
