Stepped back in the doorway
Began to breathe for the first time
Inhale and exhale all the feelings
The same emotions I once held as mine
Wander through the tall grass
Leave the door alone to stand
Staring blank and wide open
Walk away from yesterday, still glowing grand
Step into the livewire
Feel the energy from the bottom and between
Run away from the tall grass
Return from that crazy, foolish dream
Climb with me so much higher
See over all that deep, tall grass
Start over with forever
Let that time slip away and pass
Promise that you'll find me
Always etched into rust colored stone
Initials on a tree crest
Staring blankly into eternity, standing all alone
