At the edge of the field
Twirl of color and I'm weak in the knees
Gracious smile that held me
Twirl of color in the field with a breeze
Walk right to the center
Hold out my hands and wait
Secure a moment in my mind
Feel the tickle that the grass makes
Smell of old timber
Fallen at the edge of the field
Twirl of color that keeps me company
Twirl of color that the beautiful edge could yield
Wonder of all the rotten impossibilities
And walk right through the wood
Wonder of all the crazy hopefuls
Questions met with answers that maybe could
A stone set in the middle
Released of company and a selfish dream
I'd rather spend my time in this secluded field
No matter how discontented things may always seem
