Teardrops

Contributed by hoist1atca on Tuesday, 5th October 2004 @ 11:36:32 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

A tear is but a mixture of emotions expressed-
For the heart feels many things which it must convey-
And through this tiny pendant of a liquid gem-
The tenderness of the human soul is revealed…

Deep inside where feelings dwell hidden-
A teardrop forms and finds its way to the eye-
Someone says that we should not cry-
Yet the things we know are true must find flight…

The conduit for all that the heart knows-
Is found in the sparkle of this tiny fluid pearl-
Flowing slowly down the cheek and to the ground-
Like rain that drops from the sky in a summer shower…

Pain is the tear shed for the hearts burden-
A tear shed in laughter is for the happiness of life-
Joy is a tear shed when the soul finds its smile-
Passion is the tear shed for the heart that has found love…

I agree with Soulless wonderfully written, beautiful poem.

'A tear is but a mixture of emotions expressed'

Great line and it is so true, there are so many emotions contained within a mear tear drop.

This is tender, poignant and exquisite.

Never thought about tears this way--i specially liked the last stanza.
Full of emotion and depth.

A wonderfully cool poem, explaining the tears meaning and painting crystal clear images, such a lovely write.
