True Love Is A Gift

Contributed by hoist1atca on Wednesday, 6th October 2004 @ 12:18:35 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

True love is a gift that one should cherish-
For it is given freely and without hesitation-
And there are no demands or conditions-
As the heart’s love is a valued treasure…

True love is able to withstand the test of time-
Forever there in the heart to linger about-
Always seeking the light of a single spark-
To cause emotions to burn like a fire out of control…

True love is a thought that leads one into insanity-
Yet as the mind is clouded into a darkness-
The heart will guide you back into the light of reality-
For true love is a multitude of complex emotions…

True love lives forever within the heart and soul-
Never to be forgotten nor left behind to wither-
As nothing can withstand the power of the heart’s love-
Not time nor distance, nor the length of separation…

True love is so rare too. We don't run across it often, but when we do, it's magic. Excellent write!

It is a rare and precious gift that should never be taken for granted. It should always be handled with the utmost of care and tenderness. Nicely penned.
