I heard you were leaving
I know you are hurt
people aren't always as kind as they should
Trust me i know that
I was gonna leave
but I would be taking good examples with me
So I swallowed my pride
and thought hard what to do
It suddenly appeared to me
how i love you
and what you mean to me
Pride held my heart in it's terrible grip
taking my heart on a dangerous trip
through the woods of dispair
and the mounts of lost dreams
I lost what was important to me
I let bad feelings steal my greatest joy
the friendship that I had with you
but now I remember
just how much i need you
People have motives we can't comprehend
some are for real and some are pretend
when we let the bad actions tear at our hearts
the better part of us departs
replaced with a doppleganger
that rips at our souls
stealing all our hope and our joy
don't let him do it
keep love in your heart my friend
I'll hope you do it
please just do the same for me.
Just swallow your pride
and you'll know what to do
healing times will come to you
and you'll remember
maybe that you need me too.
