Nice & Slow

Contributed by xemptydecemberx on Thursday, 7th October 2004 @ 06:22:33 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I stuff my backpack with these broken dreams
Of how things should be better, how it should seem
Place the letter I wrote neatly on the table
Written by this hand so shakey and unstable
You'll never get to hear of my ideas or plans
Because I've taken my life in my own hands
And thrown it out the window to watch it shatter on the floor
The tile painted red with the blood that did pour
But I swear I tried to get the stain out
But you'll forget that's there too, without a doubt
Just like you forgot that I am here
Lost in myself and full of fear
But I gave up long ago
This has always been the way I knew I'd go
You knew it too, so here comes the blow
As I cut myself to shreds nice and slow.

*stomach grumbles* this is almost unsettling, you suicide mongers are getting too creative! lol... hope the shredding process isn't too scarring. ;0)

Very nice. I'm not a stickler for rules, poetry should send emotion and just feel right to the reader. This does.
