Revelation

Contributed by Nicole_Rahaman on Thursday, 7th October 2004 @ 09:48:46 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

I often cried myself to sleep
When into my soul I took a peep
Ashamed of the person I let myself be
Anger and hurt seemed to paralyze me

Ive sometimes wondered why God lets me live
What to this world can I possibly give?
Why is there life in a lifeless being?
From whom all Angels of Good are fleeing?

Ive recently heard a Voice so pure
Deep within me, Its Gods Im sure
He told me of His Love, Yes even for Me
And promised to be there to set me free.

I listened to what this voice had to say
I wasnt sure if I knew it was the right way
But so fed up of all that Id done to myself
That I decided to put that fear on a shelf.

I opened my heart and let the Healer in
No sooner did I feel a new fire begin
Deep within a soul so torn and tattered
The paralytic nerve of pain was shattered.

Now I am free from all the demons inside
And in true happiness I can reside.
For Ive learnt it is only through the Heavenly Father
Can we, our lifes fruits, begin to gather.

You have a great amount of strength inside of you. You might be saying to yourself, "How in the world do you know that." Well I'm glad you asked. Your writing shows a strength in the knowledge of your purpose in life. You have gone through not, "bad situations" but you have gone through life. I'm only 19 and I know already that life is full of the trails and tribulations that make us doubt life itself. But your faith in God has helped you a great deal and your form of expression through poetry is a remarkable way of letting go. I thank you for the poem and I hope the post wasn't too long. If you ever feel as though something in your life has you down and you simply can't let it go, I give to you this phrase I tell myself, "If letting go was so easy, we wouldn't feel so liberated when we do." Keep up the good work and God Bless!!!!!!!!!
