Truly
When feelings mean nothing
And love is victorious
Tears drying up like roses in winter
Beauty dies
While death rains
What a cliche
Petals drifting and falling
Like yesterdays tears
Crying away pinpricks
And laughing away the deepest lacerations
Drive a nail through life
And I'll laugh in your face
Because emotion is dead
I feel like the first time
That I spontaeneously combusted
My heart caught fire
And I hung it out to dry
Tripped over nothing
Scratch my elbows on the sidewalk
They never healed
And the sidewalk still bleeds
