Our love

LoveRemembered

Our love always seemed like a tear stained cloth Dipped in holy water and hung to dry. However, the tears never truly went away And the holy water just dripped off and left.
Our love could blow up the world. We were unstoppable and no one wanted to see us go. Changing the world was something we were used to However, we never truly understood.
Our love shaped the lives of hundreds. We went through the world like a tornado And left things ruined and broken after we left. We changed the whole damn world And ourselves more then anything.
Our love was so always in danger Like a glass of water sitting on the edge of a table. But we were sure nothing would knock it over. But we, like little kids positive the cup could stand, were wrong.
Our love fell and shattered into a million pieces Of hate filled words that could not be taken back. It broke apart and left gashes on our hearts That a thousand stitches could not close up.
Our love could not blow up the world, Our love could not rewrite history. Our love could not even last a year But it could change a world.

really, really meaningful and touching..the line about a glass of water sitting on the edge of a table..it was very visual. I loved that. I could see it falling in slow motion.. |
