Write Your Own Poetry!

Contributed by Katie2008 on Saturday, 9th October 2004 @ 03:07:56 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

I'd love to read your poetry
To get to know you more
But when I read your writing
It's no where near what's yours
You take lyrics from popular rock bands
And post them on Your-Poetry
Saying that they're yours
I'm sure you could do better
I bet you could be creative
But instead you choose to steal what isn't yours
When you write, don't worry about what others may think or say
Let all the words be your own
Or else it's all just fake
When you write, just let your feelings
Spill onto the page
And then others will begin to see
What a fantastic writer you can be
Don't take what isn't yours
That's stealing someone else's feelings away
Just try to be yourself
And then you'd get the recognition your own wonderful writes deserve

Yes this is true. Poetry is about feelings.

I Fully Agree!!! In the schools they teach plagerism is bad. One case in a local town made a paper a world away. Personally, if plagerism can cause this much of a ruckus it is something that should become obsolete. It's stupid really we are all given a brain, showing off someone elses just makes you look dumb....

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
