EMPTINESS WITHIN
I have made a few discoveries
about some people that I know
it's time to turn them loose
true feelings start to show
Truth is hard to come by
though its searched for all our lives
but in fact if it doesn't matter
Tell me why then do we strive
Always trusting in people
just a struggle to fit in
failures ever mounting
Left with emptiness felt within
My thoughts still grow with frustration
aching to be understood
Do you think they're really listening
does it really do any good
Reaching out to those around us
only scared to open doors
they say they really care and
yet you hear from them no more
afraid to get involved
scared to let your feelings out
tell me my good friend
do you know what i am talking about?
