A flood of emotions rips through my body.
Tearing through and ripping down everything in its path!
My walls have been breached.
My dams,
So carefully erected,
Have been destroyed in one effortless push
One tide,
Not even a storm tide.
Barriers have been destroyed
My walls are down.
A few hours in heaven is all that it took
For this crescendo of emotions to erupt from within
And to drown all other life.
My thoughts have stopped
I can't even fell my own pressure in my own body.
My mind has been overtake,
Over run,
Flooded out by this torrent of emotion that now lays siege to me.
So broken,
So crushed,
Yet so alive with the vigour of a flood tearing through a village.
Just happens to be my own little village.
The water gushes in
I can't think straight.
All is happy,
All is sad.
My mind is drowning
Drowning
Sinking
Drowning
Sinking
Drowning in a breath of emotional sorrow.
Sinking to the bottom with my broken defences.
I will always be here.
For you the defences will never be remade.
Always down
Waiting for the next flood of emotions to drown the remaining
To destroy the rest.
But to be happy again.
