The sweet smell of October
Fills my lungs
The simple beauty of the leaves
Falling to the ground
Brings back memories of childhood
And being with old friends
To walk down the street and smell the
Sweet October scent is all I really need
To bring some light to my deadend heart
As I slowly stroll along I hear the leaves rustle
And the birds sing
And watch the children playing catch or kickball just for fun
It's so nice to see them run along, and play with their families
A dad and son playing ball then raking autumn leaves
And by the time I reach my doorstep I really hate to admit it
But the sweet scent of October and all that goes along with it
Has forced me to break into a smile
