-faith to the faithless- (blind leading the blind)

Contributed by TaintedOptomist on Sunday, 10th October 2004 @ 03:36:51 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

search anywhere and everywhere
find everything
never find anything

cos' this faith is blind
an' you feel too little

opinions for sale
no one sees nirvana
cos' you're bought and sold

cos' my heart is blind
an' you feel too little

following a following
looking for a god to blame

This is a great poem. I read in the bible one day a verse that went a little like this.

"Religion from heaven is this: to help the fatherless and the widow, to walk humbly before your god and to keep ones self from being polluted by idols. "

I think your poem testifies to these things. I know it is hard to try again when jaded by those who are supposed to love god but rather tie weights around our necks. I hope one day that you will find the cure to what hurts your heart. In either case I am your friend.

Awesome write,
