Topic: EmotionalPoetry

thoughts that flow rhythmically
out of our dying souls,
swarming with questions, love or misery...
our writing touches the world,
we hold the candle that lays so lost in the night,
we hold the hope that reads forgotten
in a poor persons eyes,
we light the way into a stream of emotions
that have been left untouched,
causing each molecule to blossom,
breathing life so unrushed,
taking time to feel
Things that otherwise would have been left
Unremembered
Just putting into words the outline
Of our lives, our work so clever.
Tracing upon the memories that lay
Glittered in gold and black
Bringing back every nerve of
Passion that intertwine with
Our spirits,
And never doubting , never looking back.
Acceptance in the words that spill
Out of our blood,
So tasteful.
So desirable to others eyes.
Feeding off our emotions
Whether we laugh or we cry.
Breathing through us at that moment
Knowing our every move
Our every touch.
Knowing every sentimental feeling
That carries on inside you leaves you flushed.
We are special.
They want to escape into our world.
The one we hold at our fingertips
The one that lays open like
A storybook in our minds.
We are here,
They love to look and find
We are unique
nothing else will thrive so
Heavily.
We are what makes them feel,
Either darker or lighter
We are the one and only
Writers.

nice rhythm and good wording until the few lines (sowwy) the last stanza lacks a bit in my opinion, leaving it somewhat open ended and could of been summed up much better, needless to say, good momentum, and i liked it

well done

I love the content of your poetry. I just started reading your poems (today) and I've been going down the list. I do that with any writer that I find to be interesting. And I find your poetry interesting because there is depth in what you are experessing. It is so refreshing to read, especially in comparison to most of the poets on this site. I can tell that you are a person that is very observant, and your perspective shows that you have learned much from life, in a relatively short period of time. (How old are you?) You might feel like you don't relate with most people your age because they are more immature than you, and it's rare that you find people that really "get" you. I might be wrong. This is just my first impression of you, and I've never talked to you or met you, so remember that this is just my opinion, and I might be projecting my own perception of life onto you. So don't take that too seriously, but I have a feeling that you understand.

I completely understand what you are saying in this poem.

And never doubting , never looking back.
Acceptance in the words that spill
Out of our blood,

I believe that this is what a writer is supposed to do. To let the experience of writing be creative, and that means to write, and not look back, to accept the words that flow out and to allow them to speak about that which cannot be spoken, to allow the words to symbolically represent that which makes us human, to express the core of what it feels like to be alive.....only through words. I think that this is the point of every art form. It is an expression of life itself, raw, real, true, profound. Only we choose to use this art form. It's great to see that you have that understanding. But again, maybe that's just me going off, and it might not relate to what you are saying, and you might be thinking, "What is this guy talking about?" But hey, that's what I got out of this poem.

Be True,
zenmind

Awesome poem... I read a lot of your work now and I LOVE it. I like to write, stories more than poetry, but still I have thrown away dozens of papers because they didn't tell the story in my mind, it told the story others wanted to hear. I like how you worded this poem and I like how you write, it all flows very well and I am impressed, and also intimidated.
