there is hope, and if the addiction started with your parents maybe how they feel is buried deep inside too. Shame is a very powerful emotion and can make people push away the very ones they love. There is hope and at one point felt the same way towards my parents, looking to blame someone other than myself for the way I felt. There is always that glimmer of hope that things will work out. But we receive what we need by someone much greater than ourselves. I had such a painful tang of not being accepted for who I was by my parents not feeling good enough and etc.....you know you explained it all. This last time around my prayers were answered read Love Of A Father (FatherTom) that poem took the very breath out of my mouth and is my inspiration today. My Dad wrote that for me---Mircales happen everyday. I will pray for you.....Much love and support I send your way. Beautiful write just so sad......
