Just a prayer

Contributed by AdamChantell on Wednesday, 13th October 2004 @ 09:23:13 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Can you really see me?
I'm down here if you didn't know
Struggling everyday
Living all alone

It's another day today
Can you lend a hand?
Because if not then I am afraid
My body will not grace this land

The pain grows daily
I have visions of living here
Having no one truly love me
Is what I really fear

Why am I here god?
Is it to live a life of sin?
Tell me why I have to live a life
Living without a true friend.

Am I a product of fate?
Maybe I was born a curse
All I really know now is
Deep down it really hurts...

I'm still down here now
I can see my reflexion of the floor
I ask who am I
I wonder about heaven's door...

I know there is good somewhere
But it's something I can not see
There is so much hate in this world
God just make me believe.....

powerful and emotional. amazing, and excellently written. many people have those same questions, and some just settle for no answers and just leave it to be fate.

It takes guts to be honest...and to question and reach out.
God does listen, and sees you more clearly, deeply than anyone can.
The world is wrong in so many ways--and our hearts cry out for something so much purer and better--a need that cannot be met anywhere else but in Him.

I hope you found an answer. I too wish that I could be "made" to believe sometimes, but it's not that easy. If we were all made to choose right and believe all the time, then we would have no trial. Trials and tribulations are what makes us strong. Your poem is excellent, keep writing!
