Women-The Cigarette Analogy

Contributed by subgenius on Wednesday, 13th October 2004 @ 10:48:31 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Women are a lot like cigarettes.
The soul purpose of their existence is to get you addicted your first time
But eventually take all of your money and kill you.

As a schoolboy I felt the same about girls as I did cigarettes.
They once grossed me out and scared the hell out of me
Yet the few studs that had either were somehow cooler than every other guy on the playground.

On the outside they appear sweet and innocent
On the inside lurk thousands of secret additives ready to destroy everything healthy inside you.
And neither is ever found alone for they all come in dangerous packs.
I save the special "lucky" for last even though I know they are all the same.

I inhale cigarette smoke much like the love of a woman
I hold them in deep and try not to exhale
For if i do, it is certain they will dissipate into thin air
And I will be left alone and evermore addicted to this absurd waste of time

Both have the power to make me my head spin and my eyes water
They offer me temporary satisfaction but ultimately leave me feeling sick and much less attractive.
Both leave me hurting yet I always crawl back for more.

Take my words as a warning.
Get involved with a woman or a cigarette if you must, but trust me;
It is much easier to say "NO" the first time.

Cynical, metaphoric excellence.

You have a fan in me.

I am A Marlboro Mild Menthol, thank you very much. I make you think I am better then the others, and oh so cool... but yes I am evil... Nice analogy.

Hmmmm, makes me want to write the female version of this. I'll have to think on that.
