No Redemption

Contributed by jason_robert_britt on Thursday, 14th October 2004 @ 01:10:46 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I look at my erection
This shrine of old ideals
A teddy bear holding an infant
The comfort of classic appeal
Vulgarity I've spewed on the walls
Lock it up in a temple to my god
Drawn to it's choking euphoria
Drawn like the flame to the moth
I've been loved 'till my ego surpassed me
Spoiled with the lessons un-learned
Forgiven for crimes I should die for
Ungrateful for joys I've ill earned
I've offended all those around me
Those adored the most in my heart
Obsolete are all earthly desires
I've detested myself from the start
I've lost my faith in creation
I've lost my will to destroy
If there is such a state as oblivion
It is where I pray to be deployed
The stars are all falling from heaven
I will cry when thy kingdom comes
In fear for what lies before me
For those hurt by the sinning of one

This was beautiful and so deep Jason. Good
to see something by you I haven't talked to
you in a long time. I loved this poem you
bared your pain and held NOTHING back. I
just feel that I should say that there is hope
and forgiveness in God. I hope your doing
well man.
