Late one evening I suddenly remembered
Why it was to you that my heart surrendered.
I was so sure, you were so sweet
In my soul you made me complete.
In bliss I would watch as you came near
Lies you told, but it was truth I did hear.
I listened to you as I watched our love grow
I soon found a reality I did not know.
As time passed, alone I would be
You left me broken in my misery.
Together we will be in the end
My love forever you will have, my friend.
