If only I had half your genius and passion
If only I had half your heart and vision
The world would open up to me
As I do to it so willingly
You are a father a mentor a hero
A musician poet and painter
All these things you are
Are paramount and beautiful
All the things I want to be
And be like you
You are pure inspiration
A driving force in my life
You are in all I create
Trying to be like you
If I Only I Were Half of What You Are
If only I had half your genius and passion
If only I had half your heart and vision
The world would open up to me
As I do to it so willingly
You are a father a mentor a hero
A musician poet and painter
All these things you are
Are paramount and beautiful
You are everything I want to be
