Fieldbrook

Contributed by humboldthunny17 on Friday, 15th October 2004 @ 07:48:11 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Fieldbrook school was small,
small but big.
Big in respect, big in heart
The teachers didn't care about their pay,
but the way that You felt, if your world fell apart.

Your classmates knew all your thoughts,
and kept on loving you.
My eigth grade class, 18 kids,
Were so close, but now what's there to do?

Highschool has spread us apart,
Never to meet again.
Memories fly, race through my mind,
I can remember what happened and when.

Gold years, though only four,
were filled as I went to that school,
When we sang songs, danced in class,
and when we swam in the pool.

Fieldbrook School moves on each year,
being left by those who it loved.
We left with honors, with smiles that night,
With kisses, with tears, and got hugged.

I want to go back, to innocence, to fun,
But I can't, there is no chance.
I want to go back to freedom, I want to yell,
To sing, to dance.
