You made me, who I am today, You helped as I grew older.
In dreams you are still here with me, But now each day grows colder.
You were my hero, then and now My heart will always hold you.
There is so much I should have told you Now and forever I am your soldier.
I will march to my own beat, I shall force your memory onward. You taught me much, in one lifetime I will, I must remember
Thank you

lovely poem... it really reminds me of some heros that can come into your life right when you need them the most... and sometimes even save it... job well done on this piece.
