My Nightmare

Contributed by XxNights_ChildxX on Tuesday, 19th October 2004 @ 04:36:43 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The clock chimes midnight, witching hour is here,
This time is full of fright, so hold your loved ones near,
The demons are set loose, their evil is unleashed,
They refuse to call a truce, the time has now ceased,
Land in complete shadow, the darkness overbearing,
Fog outside the window, the children easily scaring,
Tree branches scraping, the wind howling in pain,
It starts heavily weeping , cold and damp wet rain,
Close your eyes tightly, try to block out all the horror,
Ghosts returning nightly, are you ready for some more?
Air seems to choke you, seemingly unable to breathe,
Limbs failing to work too, body beinging to wreathe,
Devil starting to taunt, and laugh at your fears,
So ghastly and gaunt, cried out bloody tears,
My dreams reveal truth, to the world beyond,
Destroying hope of youth, dark sun now dawned,
Sheer and utter terror, as death wracks my brain,
Pray upon the Holy alter, forgive me all my shame,
Lord please help me, send these monsters away,
Shivers wrack my body, don't make these demons stay,
I want to scream out loud, but no words seem to come,
For this evil I have vowed, I wish that I could just run,
Feel so remotely helpless , no one seems to have a care
But still I remain voiceless, then I awake from my nightmare....
