I stood in the doorway
And watched as you came and went
My heart traveled your way
How much of our time has been spent
Passing like strangers
Two ships in the night
Longing and aching
As you fade from sight
Leaving me lonely
And wanting you still
Killing me slowly
I'm tortured untill
You're once again
Back in my arms
And for the briefest
Of moments
I hold you and
Keep you from harm
Right here in my arms
When you're in my arms
The world slips away
All I can think of is
How long you'll stay ... this time
And can you read my mind
For you always know
Just what to say
Just how to touch me
To ease all this pain
Every dream you
Seem to fulfill
Then leave once again
I am broken untill
You find your way
Back to my arms
Right here in my arms

Beautiful. Perfect. Absolutely enchanting. I love this one! I think this one might be my current favorite. It'll change again when you post another one, lol. They are all soooo good!! A magnificent 'just-because'! Don't you love it when a poem just all of a sudden, BOOM! It's there! And they always end up being one of the most exquisite pieces. ENCORE!
