Its quiet demeanor proves silent eternity
No life or friends only individuality
If the classroom was church still
A sneeze receives an eerie silence
Even though mortals are blessed through low hesitation
The ghost is unnamed
Attention gained by tapping pen
No question of existence
Only one simple question
No acknowledgment of its intelligence
Eyes peer through its lonely body
Searching amongst the stale air for the better match
Satisfying its quest with the socially acceptable
The ghost leaves its presence with an indent in the chair
A sight that is seen by all but understood by few
The ghost exists with same enthusiasm as its entrance
Farewells are heard from within
The odorless air remains motionless and unused

| I can say that I can definitely relate to this. It's sad how you can be surrounded by people yet not know a single person. At least not beyond the surface level. But what's even worse is the fact that most people don't want to know anymore...= |
