It happened quite by accident
I didn't really know you yet,
I opened up my eyes one day,
I heard every word you didn't say,
There were no walls or self deception,
I felt all your heart with sensual perception,
The tears you kept hidden I cried for you,
My silence and devotion I swore to you,
Desperately, I craved your pain,
Silently, you tried to restrain,
The weight of your sorrow began to break you,
Into my arms I tried to take you,
Finally, you gave up and started to fall,
You closed your eyes, forgetting it all,
Your body trembled as you tried to hold on,
But you can only decieve yourself for so long,
I reached out my arms and held you tight,
Told you, in whispers, it will be alright,
Your arms around me, hot tears on my skin,
You decided to break and at last let me in.
