Waiting for me

My girl is somewhere in this this world
Ive seen her in my dreams
Where no one can else can ever be
And I long for her every day
When Im at work and when Im away
I love her so desperately
But only in my mind is she
For when I try to hug
I wake up drunken on some rug
Then I realize the truth
There is no girl there
And there never will be
Because although I have a great need
I will forever wake up desperately
Holding a girl that isnt there
And at the ceiling will I stare
Wishing I could go back to sleep
Where my girl is waiting for me
And there she will always be
Waiting, always waiting
For me.
