SITTING THERE WATCHING THE BALL
LIKE A PICTURE HANGING ON THE WALL
COUNTING DOWN TO THE END
WHAT HAPPENED LAST YEAR YOU CANNOT MEND
WHAT HAPPENED THEN IS IN THE PAST
THE DAY OF THIS YEAR IS THE LAST
I HAVE NO FEELINGS OF REGRET NOR PAIN
THE CONFIDENCE I LOST I SHALL REGAIN
ILL BEGIN AGAIN AND START OUT NEW
BRAND NEW MONTH BRAND NEW YEAR, ILL FIND SOMETHING TO DO
IT MAY BE GOOD, IT MAY BE BAD
I MAY BE HAPPY, I MAY BE SAD
WHATEVER HAPPENS ILL GET INTO GEAR
AND IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG, ILL START AGAIN NEXT YEAR
