"Life Can Be"
Life can be so cool and sweet,
But when someone's cold you truly feel beat.
Life can be so full of time we borrow,
But it seems so useless when we wallow in our own sorrow.
Life can be so full of pain,
Especially when it seems like there's nothing to gain.
Life can be so full of shame,
Especially when on ourselves we put all the blame.
Life can be so full guilt,
Especially when on hardships and tragedy our life has been built.
Life can be so full of heartache,
Especially when the ones we love we forsake.
Life can be so mean,
Especially when folks look at you like you're not even seen.
Life can be so full of despair,
Especially when it all seems so unfair.
Life can be so full of gloom,
Especially when you've buried yourself in a desolate tomb.
Life can be so cruel and strange,
But it's only harder on the truly deranged.
Life can be so simple and warm,
But it's scary when you feel like doing self harm.
Life can be dark and gray,
Especially with every passing moment you're begging yourself to stay.
Life can be so crazy,
But it's much worse when you feel so useless and lazy.
Life can be so unkind,
But it's out of control when you feel like you're losing your mind.
